Carlsbad History

Carlsbad history of being a resort town dating back to the 1880′s. John Frazier dug a well and began to offer the water a a local train station. The station came to be known as Frazier Station. Later, a second well was dug and tested and the water was found to be chemically similar to the water found in some of the most renowned spas in the world. The town was then named after the famous spa town in Hungary, Karlsbad.
